I volunteer with the Adopt A U.S. Soldier Organization. One time I adopted an entire company. They had a camera and dvd maker to send messages home. I sent them a bunch of my favorite children’s books to record stories for their kids. It was a big hit. I have to say, part of me wonders if he was in my company and has continued the tradition. Probably not, but, it would be cool.
^^ I didn’t know such an organization existed… I would have loved to have been a part of something like that!
It still exists as soldiers are still deployed. AAUSS
